General Questions
If God is all loving, then why does he allow people to go to hell?
The definition of hell is “the absence of God”. Through this definition we can see why people are sent to hell. The ones who want nothing to do with God and reject him shall spent eternity without him. And a lot of people say thats very selfish of God; but would you want to spend an eternity with people who don't respect or care about you? I think the answer would be no.
Doesn't science disprove Christianity?
Many scientists actually are Christians themselves. But besides that, science is simply the study of God's Earth. The only theories that have been labeled as the truth instead of Christianity are evolutionism and the big bang. Both of these theories are actually started by people who are not opposed to any religion or god. Charles Darwin actually stated that he had doubts of some of his work because of the idea of a god. And the creator of the big bang was a practicing Christian. The idea that these theories disprove Christianity is simply an agenda made by other people who aren't even scientists that are trying to belittle the Christian ideas.
Why do bad things happen to people if God is so good?
This question is a big one in the community and is something that is better left to speculation. For the most part, bad things happen because God promises us a greater future than what we are experiencing now. This earth is full of evil, and as humans, sometimes we have to experience that. People ask why does God allow these things, but first you have to explain why he would have no reason not to. There are reasons for God to let bad things to happen; one is that God has promised things will get better and that we should trust him. Another answer is that these hard times are a learning experience for us and are used to make us stronger. And the last reason would be because it will glorify God later on when we trust in him and gain his strength. At the end of the day, just because bad things happen to us on earth, does not disprove the Christian faith.
Common Misconceptions
"Christians are terrible people. I've seen people who are Christian do horrible things."
The actions of individuals do not define a religion. There are plenty of terrible people in all religions; but anyone can claim they believe in whatever. The Bible tells us clearly that our actions do reflect our character. So if you are claiming to be something, you better act like it. Not to mention that there is a major difference between most modern views on Christianity when compared to the origins. The Bible is a clear instruction manual; and if someone is not following that manual it is on them, not on God.
"There is no evidence for God."
Now no one can definitively prove God exists except himself. But there is historical evidence that points to his existence. The fact that over 500 people saw Jesus risen from the dead is already a hefty claim. There is just no way that many people can say the same thing and all be lying at the same time; especially when the crime for that was death. The Bible is also full of evidence like how Noahs Flood actually happened. You can see why that is at Smithsonianmag.com. Many historians actually claim that the Bible is the most important piece of historical text in the world. These are just few examples but you can research more individual ones on your own.
"The Bible is old and changed throughout the years."
This is something that many atheists like to use to combat Christianity. The fact is, the Bible has not changed almost at all from its original Hebrew and Greek versions. There is a study that shows this from Grand Canyon University. It tells the accuracy of the Bible even throughout the many translations. There are many other studies that give the same results you can look at. This accuracy is not just a sign of authenticity, it shows that God's word is for everyone and shall be accessible for all people.
